Photo tools: your images never leave your device

Every image tool on FreePicTools(passport photo maker, resizer, compressor, format converter, background remover, and all others) runs entirely client-side, in your browser, using JavaScript and, for the background remover, a machine learning model that downloads once and runs locally. When you “upload” a photo into a tool, that file is read and processed by your own device. We do not receive a copy of it, store it, or have any way to access it.

What we do collect

Like most websites, our hosting provider and any analytics we use may log standard technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you visit. This is used only in aggregate to understand traffic and site performance, not to identify individuals.

If you contact us by email, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message.

Cookies

We do not use cookies to track you across the web or to build advertising profiles. Your browser or hosting infrastructure may set functional cookies necessary for the site to load correctly.

The blog and admin system

Our blog is managed through a separate admin system used only by site editors, backed by a database and image storage. This is unrelated to the public photo tools and does not process or store any images you upload into a tool.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we add an analytics or advertising provider in the future — we will update this page and reflect the change here.
